planting roots & finding balance
Spring Has Sprung—and So Have Our Seedlings
Spring is officially in the air at TreeTop Acres, and that can only mean one thing: planting season is underway — and it’s off to a beautiful start!
Over the past two weeks, we’ve been busy tucking thousands of seedlings into the soil.
From tiny two year old Christmas trees to arborvitae, these tiny future evergreens are just the beginning — and we can’t wait to watch them grow.
A special shoutout to Pat’s dad for building us a custom auger cart that’s making planting smooth and fast. It’s equal parts brains and brawn — and it’s already a farm favorite.
If you watched that video you may have noticed our very serious (and seriously cute) four-legged Branch Manager, Pierogi, has expanded her skills to inspecting auger holes. She’s also great at sniffing seedlings.
The recent gloomy skies and rain have been perfect for these tiny trees — because their roots shouldn’t be exposed to much sunlight and they need lots of water after going through the harrowing experience of being dug out of the ground, boxed up, shipped, and replanted. It’s the literal definition of being uprooted.
In other news, we’ve got some fun events coming up at the farm and we really hope you’ll come out and see us!
🧘♀️Sunday Salutations
We’ll be ushering in the warmer (and sunnier) weather with Breathe & Brunch Yoga — the first in our new series of seasonal wellness events at the farm.

Ease into your Sunday with a gentle 45-minute yoga class led by Haley Saba among the evergreens. Afterward, enjoy made-to-order waffles with fresh fruit and fun toppings from Three Little Hens Baking Co., plus cold-pressed juices from Pressing Matter.

🧺 Bring a yoga mat or towel, water bottle, and your favorite mug!

Finding Joy in the Dirt and the Doing
The farm is definitely keeping us busy (and making us realize how important it is to stay in good shape when you have desk jobs), but even on the toughest and most tiring days, we’re making sure to pause to soak it all in — because there’s truly nothing better than really experiencing the scent of fresh earth, the warmth of spring sun, and the quiet joy of putting down roots for seasons to come.
Thanks for being part of our growing story. 🌲
